Two new features are soon to be a part of the MLAIB, whether you choose to access it on the EBSCO platform or through Literature Online (LiOn). MLA is working to incorporate publisher supplied abstracts into the database that will be fully searchable. Also, MLA is incorporating a cross-referencing system for variant spellings of author names. For example, searching "Tolstoy" will no longer retrieve different results than searching "Tolstoi."
For those of you who prefer using LiOn, look for a new interface in July. The new LiOn promises increased search speeds. Remember, you can also search The Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature (ABELL) in LiOn. ABELL is a great compliment to MLAIB.
